Help Tucker Civic Association and Smart Lunch Smart Kid feed hungry children!

The Smart Lunch, Smart Kid initiative provides children who receive free or reduced-price lunches during the school year with access to healthy lunches during the summer.

Donation Drop Off
Tucker Farmer’s Market, Thursday July 14, 4-8

Items Needed
loaves of bread—make sure each loaf has at least 20 slices • slices of cheese • slices of meat OR • 16-18 oz jar of jelly • 16-18 oz container of peanut butter Dry Contents • brown lunch bags • Ziploc bags • healthy snacks (baked chips/cookies/trail mix/popcorn) • fruit cups/pieces of fruit • 100% fruit juice boxes or water bottles • Packages of disposable gloves.  Some groups also include a “sweet treat” such as a fruit snack, a piece of candy, or Rice Krispie treats, etc., though it is not necessary!

Lunch Assembly
TCA will be partnering with the Tucker Optimist Club and the American Legion Ladies Post 207 to assemble the lunches on July 24 at 2:00 at the Tucker First Methodist Activity Center across from the old library. We hope you can join us for this worthwhile event!
